Euryale seed (Qian Shi)

Indication of Euryale seeds in Chinese medicine

• Chronic diarrhea
• Childhood diarrhea
• Spermatorrhea
• Nocturnal ejaculation
• Premature ejaculation
• Very frequent urination
• Urinary incontinence
• Enuresis
• Vaginal discharge

Instructions for use and dosage

Place between 10 and 15g of euryale seeds in a glass, stainless steel or terracotta container. Pour in 300ml spring or filtered water. Heat over low heat for 20 minutes. Drink the liquid in the morning.
Make the same decoction with the same seeds in the evening.
The seeds can also be used in porridge or soup.

Contraindication:

Due to their astringent properties, euryale seeds are contraindicated for people with constipation or urinary retention.
