Who is this DIY wine for?
The functions of this blend are to channel and free the circulation of Qi and blood, prevent stagnation, regulate and expand the Qi mechanism. It is primarily intended for internal practices such as :
- Qi Gong
- Tai Ji Quan
- Meditation
- Yoga
What you need to make this wine:
- A bag containing the herbs you need to make this wine.
- An airtight glass container. We recommend a glass jar with a glass lid. The gasket will help keep the container airtight. Avoid jars with iron screw-on lids.)
- 1000ml grain alcohol such as vodka or sorghum or millet alcohol (called Bai Jiu in Chinese stores). Alcohol between 30 and 40 degrees is sufficient. No pharmaceutical alcohols!
Preparation
- Place the entire sachet in a glass jar
- Pour in 1000ml of vodka, sorghum alcohol or millet alcohol.
- Close the jar, having placed the seal on the lid beforehand.
- Label your container (name and date of manufacture).
- Leave the herbs to macerate in the alcohol for at least 15 days in a dark place, shaking the jar at least once a day (you can leave them to macerate for longer if you wish, e.g. 30 days, which will produce a stronger wine).
Once maceration is complete, the medicinal liquid can be filtered.
- When filtering, squeeze the herbs to recover as much substance as possible.
- You can decant the wine into a bottle if you wish.
- Always store the jar or bottle in a dark place.
Use
Once maceration is complete. Orally, 30 to 50ml ideally 15 minutes before your session.
For those who can’t tolerate alcohol, warm water can be added.
This wine channels, liberates and regulates the circulation of Qi and blood.
