Ganoderma Lucidum is a mushroom called Lingzhi in Chinese and Reishi in Japanese. It was nicknamed the “mushroom of immortality” and was reserved for the emperor to prolong his life.
Its soothing properties and its effect on the major organs make it the herb of choice.

  • Staphylococcus

 

What’s more, by improving the immune system’s response, Ganoderma Lucidum (Lingzhi ) is said to have an anti-cancer effect.

Properties according to Chinese medicine

  • Tonifies the energy (Qi) of the spleen, lung, heart and kidneys
  • Calms the spirit (Shen)*
  • Stops coughing and wheezing
  • Eliminates phlegm
  • Nourishes the blood

*In Chinese medicine, the heart is home to the Spirit, which is called “Shen”. When this is disturbed, insomnia, dizziness, agitation and mental confusion can occur.

 

Instructions for use and dosage

From 3 to 15g/day, Standard 10g

10g Ganoderma Lucidum

1) Rinse the herbs, cut them into shorter pieces, place them in a container that is not made of iron, aluminum or cast iron and add 300ml of cold water (spring or filtered water).
2) First soak the herbs in the water for 20 to 30 minutes.
3) Heat the pan over high heat until boiling. As soon as the water is boiling, turn down the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
4) Pour the liquid obtained into another container or thermos flask.
5) Pour 250ml (or just enough water to cover the herbs) of spring water over the same herbs and heat again over high heat, then turn down to low heat as soon as the water is boiling.
6) Simmer for 20 minutes.
7) Pour the liquid obtained with that of the 1st decoction.
8) Drink the decoction hot or lukewarm in 2 batches, morning and afternoon.
9) If you’re using Lingzhi for sleep disorders or insomnia, drink this decoction in the morning and evening, 30 minutes before going to bed.

 

Contraindication :

– For flu, cold or colds.

– Because of oxalic acid, do not use in large quantities or over a long period if you have :

  • kidney stones
  • diabetes
  • high blood pressure
